What counts as a session?
One captured run of your app — an end-user session, a QA pass, or a CI replay. You are metered on sessions and retention, not on seats or events.
Can I audit what the core captures?
Yes — run the ingest server yourself and audit exactly what is captured before you ship it. That transparency is how you trust us. Detection at scale, cross-release comparison, retention, and the hosted service come with the paid tiers.
What happens if I go over my session limit?
A flat, published rate per additional 1,000 sessions on paid tiers. No surprise per-event meter, and recording doesn't cut off when you cross the line.
Do I need to replace Sentry?
No. Crumbtrail runs alongside your Sentry. Keep your alerting; Crumbtrail adds the silent end-user issues that exceptions and tests structurally miss.
Can I keep data on my own infrastructure?
